Jordin Sparks
Jordin Brianna Sparks was born December 22, 1989 in Staten Island, New York. Jordin's father is the former NFL football player Phillippi Sparks and her mother is Jodi Sparks. Jordin has a younger brother named Phillippi Sparks Jr. also known as PJ. Jordin is half american and half african-american! Jordin has performed for many various sporting events singing the national anthem.
Jordin recorded a five song demo album named "For Now" in 2003, when she was only 13 years old! She recorded it with the help of Matthew Ward, Christian Music Artist and Gary Leach, an engineer who was worked on some of LeAnn Rimes albums. Jordin has sung among big celebrities, such as Alice Cooper and Michael W. Smith. Jordin used to live in the town of Ridgewood on Orchard Place and attented Orchard School but moved to Glendale, Arizona and there is where she currently lives with her family.
On May 23, 2007, she was declared the winner of the sixth season of the reality television show American Idol. Sparks won at the age of 17, making her the youngest winner in American Idol history.
